How do I install packages?

There is a vast repository of additonal software available in OpenWrt. You may use the following methods to install or update these packages:

1. Go to System → Software
2. Click Update lists
3. Enter text in the Filter field to search for a package
4. Click Install on the package you want
5. Note you may have to relog into the webUI to see a new package page available

• Use apk in OpenWrt 25.12 onward
• Use opkg in OpenWrt 24.10 or older
